Wow, it sure is hot in Atlanta right now, folx! I hope you are having a wonderful start to July, and finding some way to relax and beat the heat. I'm ready to break out our pool (we have a Minnidip!), my suit and some refreshing beverages, that's for sure. Since we're growing a modest plethora of garden veggies, flora and fauna in our backyard, I wanted this month's wallpaper to be a tribute to our growing garden. Also, did I mention thatĀ we bought our home?! Woo hoo!Ā Ā

Happy July, everyone! It's an understatement to say that the last few months have been a challenge, and also a revolution of thought and action. Exciting and difficult changes are starting to happen, and we at Paper Raven Co. are committed to continuing in this fight.
That said, the importance of resting and appreciating the simple joys of life has become a critical point of balance for many of us. I wanted to illustrate something that simply just made me happy, something thatĀ felt hopeful. Additionally, it was only fitting to focus on the color yellow this month: a color symbolizing awareness, education and new thought,Ā mixed with optimism and hope for the future.

Happy July 1st! I hope everyone is having a great summer so far. This month, I wanted to experiment with some new lettering techniques and fun, poppy colors. I created this illustration using my Tombow MONO Drawing Pens, and then finished it with color in Photoshop. Later in the month I'll be traveling to the Bahamas, and the bright hues definitely inspired me here. Hope you like it! Click on the image below to receive the Wallpaper, and enjoy.
