May you have a wonderful start to your New Year! This month's illustration may not seem the most seasonally-appropriate, but as I sat down to design this month's wallpaper, I felt the need to draw something optimistic and lush as a way of putting those intentions out for all of us in 2022. Rather than asking the Year to be good to us, let's ask ourselves on the daily how to care for ourselves and each other. We all have the ability to make our dreams/goals/visions come true - it's not the Year that does it, it's us ;)

December 2021 Illustrated Desktop Wallpaper
This month's illustration is a festive tribute to holiday florals and greenery, one of my favorite things to draw! Did you know that 90% of the work I illustrate at Paper Raven Co. is themed for winter holidays? I spend most of my year (even Spring and Summer!) drawing Santas, Menorahs, Snowflakes and Christmas Trees! So it's extra fun when we finally get to December and playing Christmas music is acceptable. But sometimes when you have a big project, you just have to get into the spirit in July ;)

I hope you had a wonderful long weekend! We remained at home, said hello to our loved ones over Zoom, and enjoyed a relaxing weekend with some good classic movies and putting up our tree! THANK YOU to everyone who has placed an order with us this week, last week, and throughout this season! To say we are overwhelmed is an understatement, and I have been working through orders diligently. Thank you again for making this a wonderful Holiday Season here at Paper Raven Co.! For this month, I wanted to capture the feeling of coziness (SAT Word Bonus Points: "hygge", pronounced "hue-guh"), and do something a little more fun than just your typical (but lovely) fall leaves. I hope you like it! I love how the calendar fits in the camping mug, lol.

March 2019 Illustrated Desktop Wallpaper
Happy March, everyone :) It's been getting a bit warmer in Atlanta, and all of the flowers are starting to bloom! My daily walks with Patty in our budding neighborhood are the source of inspiration for this month's happy wallpaper. I used Winsor & Newton watercolors and a soundtrack of Florence + the Machine to create this for you. Hope you enjoy!

Happy December! This month, of course, I am looking forward to the holidays with my family, starting a few new traditions (like Daniel and my Christmas Tree!), and enjoying some time to relax. December is always a great time to reflect back on the year, and I am so thankful for all of your support. This year has exceeded my expectations, and I feel true gratitude. Thank you for being with me on this journey.

November 2018 Desktop Wallpaper
Happy November! This month, I will be gearing up for the holidays, launching our 2019 Folk Art Florals Calendar (coming November 5th!), and donating to some good causes. Most importantly, I will be VOTING! Who's with me?
This month's calendar was created in my ProCreate App for the iPad Pro - I have been loving this workflow so much! I typically use the Dry Ink brush under Inking for my linework.

Welcome December!
Happy December! We had a blast over Thanksgiving and the Holiday Weekend! Thank you so so much for Shopping Small. When you Shop Small, you aren't giving a CEO their 2nd vacation home, you're helping a family buy groceries, you're helping a business owner save to invest in new products, and (in my case) helping a fur-momma pay for a needed surgery for her puppy, Patty (who is recovering like a champ!). Your support really, really makes a difference, and I want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who supported Small Businesses last weekend. We love you, you are literally making our dreams come true. If that's not good karma, I don't know what is.
