April 2019 / 2024 Illustrated Desktop Wallpaper
Update: If you are coming from the future (2024, lol!), you are in the right place!
A few weeks ago, I fell and injured my wrist on my dominant drawing hand, so I have not been able to make work at the same capacity recently until it is healed up! I’m not one to April Fools, so I wanted to make sure you had a wallpaper in your inbox this morning, even if it was a re-run :) The dates for this wallpaper are indeed correct for 2024, and I hope you will enjoy a fun Throwback Edition of my April Wallpaper! Happy April! :) I hope it's been feeling like Spring wherever you are! This is the first Spring we are in our house, and we have been discovering all kinds of plants and trees that we didn't realize we had in our yard - like daffodils, a dogwood tree, and a Japanese Maple tree (Dan's favorite). As we've made these discoveries, it's truly felt like a little bit of magic. I also feel a shifting sense of energy: an excitement for things to come and a renewed sense of joy. So with that in mind, I created April's Desktop Wallpaper for you, to share a little magic with you too. I hope you like it!

March 2019 Illustrated Desktop Wallpaper
Happy March, everyone :) It's been getting a bit warmer in Atlanta, and all of the flowers are starting to bloom! My daily walks with Patty in our budding neighborhood are the source of inspiration for this month's happy wallpaper. I used Winsor & Newton watercolors and a soundtrack of Florence + the Machine to create this for you. Hope you enjoy!

Happy New Year! The January 2019 Illustrated Desktop Wallpaper
Happy 2019! I hope you had a restful holiday, and are entering the new year with energy and optimism. This month, I wanted to create a wallpaper that was simple but elegant, with white space for breathing, since that is part of my New Years Resolution this year. I am hoping to simplify, and achieve more of a work-life balance. And also have more fun! What are your resolutions??

December 2018 Illustrated Desktop Wallpaper
Happy December! This month, of course, I am looking forward to the holidays with my family, starting a few new traditions (like Daniel and my Christmas Tree!), and enjoying some time to relax. December is always a great time to reflect back on the year, and I am so thankful for all of your support. This year has exceeded my expectations, and I feel true gratitude. Thank you for being with me on this journey.

November 2018 Desktop Wallpaper
Happy November! This month, I will be gearing up for the holidays, launching our 2019 Folk Art Florals Calendar (coming November 5th!), and donating to some good causes. Most importantly, I will be VOTING! Who's with me?
This month's calendar was created in my ProCreate App for the iPad Pro - I have been loving this workflow so much! I typically use the Dry Ink brush under Inking for my linework.

October 2018! Here Comes Halloween!
Happy October! One of my favorite months of the year bc HALLOWEEN! (My fav holiday!) Candy, scary movies, dressing up and cooler nights! This is the first year that Daniel and I will have a front yard, so I'm excited to break out the pumpkins, cobwebs, and maybe some spooky stuff! Should I post pics on my Insta???

September 2018 Desktop Wallpaper
Happy September, I hope you are having a wonderful holiday weekend! While I still have dreams of a barkyard pool + margaritas forever, I'm also excited about chillier weather, sweaters, and decorating our house for Halloween. I asked Daniel if September 1st was too early for cobwebs on the bushes and he said yes (dang it!). A girl can dream. (and buy Halloween candy early - bad idea?)

I wanted to create an extra-special desktop wallpaper for you this month, that captures the feeling of warm summer nights in the backyard - because that's how I've been spending the last few months. July 2018 Illustrated Desktop Wallpaper
Happy July! After finally settling into our new home, I'm looking forward to enjoying the summer outdoors, and am resisting buying all of the cute inflatable pools for our backyard! I was inspired by this quote for the July Wallpaper, because I feel like it truly encapsulates that Summer Feeling. For this months' wallpaper, I worked on the lettering in ProCreate for iPad Pro :) and finished the colors in Photoshop. It's been fun to mix up my process a little!
